We’ll meet at 10:00 AM at Bhagsunag Temple, the starting point of our trek. From here, we begin the hike to Triund via the scenic Bhagsu Waterfall — the largest in Mcleodganj. After spending 10–20 minutes enjoying the waterfall, we continue our trek to the midpoint “Leta” where you can rest and grab a bite.

By around 3:00 PM, we'll reach the Karthani Campsite, which lies approximately 600 meters below Triund Top. Take in the beautiful views of the Dhauladhar range. As evening approaches, enjoy fun games, a bonfire, and soothing music followed by dinner. Overnight stay at Karthani Camp.

Day 2 – Karthani Camp to Laka Glacier via Triund Top

Wake up to a serene sunrise and enjoy a hearty breakfast around 8:00 AM. Then, begin your trek to Laka Glacier via Triund Top. As you ascend, the trail becomes snow-covered, leading you to the mesmerizing Laka Glacier at an altitude of ~3,200 meters.

The distance from Karthani to Laka is about 6 km and takes 3–4 hours. Upon reaching, admire the up-close view of the majestic Indrahar Pass. Enjoy the peace of the glacier environment. In the evening, gather around the bonfire, savor dinner, and spend the night under a star-studded sky at Laka Camp.

Day 3 – Laka Got to Mcleodganj

Begin your final day by soaking in the tranquil vibes of the Dhauladhar Ranges one last time. After breakfast, start your descent from Ilaka Got back to McLeodganj. This return trek of approximately 12 km will take you through the same beautiful trail.

Reach McLeodganj around 2:00 PM, marking the end of a memorable trek filled with adventure, snow, and soulful mountain views.

Trek Overview

Snowline Laka Trek, also known as the Snowline or Laka Got Glacier Trek, is a breathtaking adventure nestled in the majestic Dhauladhar Range of Himachal Pradesh. If you've visited or are planning to trek to Triund, this extended route to Snowline is an absolute must.

Located at an altitude of around 3,350 meters above sea level, Snowline lies beyond Triund and offers a more challenging and rewarding experience. The trek demands moderate stamina with steeper ascents and rocky paths, making it an exciting journey for adventure lovers.

The trail winds through dense forests, alpine meadows, and open ridges — often shared with wild goats, adding a fun and wild charm to your hike. On reaching Snowline, you're greeted with an awe-inspiring panorama of the mighty Dhauladhar range and a clear view toward the Indrahar Pass.

This trek is ideal for those who want to go beyond Triund and experience the serenity and raw beauty of high-altitude Himalayan terrain without committing to a full glacier expedition.
