Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at Gaurikund and Trek to Kedarnath | 16 Kms | 6-8 hours

Arrive at Gaurikund, the base point of the Kedarnath trek. After a short acclimatization and registration process, begin your spiritual and scenic 16 km trek towards Kedarnath. The path winds through forested areas, alongside the Mandakini River, and offers incredible views of snow-covered peaks. On the way, you'll pass through picturesque spots like Jungle Chatti, Bheembali, and Linchauli. Reach Kedarnath by late afternoon or evening. After check-in at the camps or lodges, visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple for the evening aarti (if time permits). Enjoy a warm meal and rest for the night surrounded by Himalayan tranquility.

Day 2 – Kedarnath to Gaurikund | 16 Kms | 5-6 hours

Wake up to the divine aura of Kedarnath. Attend the morning darshan at the Kedarnath Temple, if you missed it the previous day. After breakfast, begin your descent back to Gaurikund. Enjoy the scenic landscape from a new perspective as you descend — majestic peaks, waterfalls, and serene valleys. Reach Gaurikund by late afternoon. You may explore the natural hot springs of Gaurikund or rest before your return journey. Optionally, continue towards Sonprayag or head directly to your next destination.

Kedarnath Trek is one of the most revered spiritual journeys in India, located in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. It leads to the sacred Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, nestled at an altitude of 3,583 meters.

The trek starts from Gaurikund and stretches about 16 km one way. The route offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, dense forests, waterfalls, and the Mandakini River. The terrain varies from paved paths to steep climbs, making it a moderate-level trek suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers with decent fitness.

A blend of adventure and devotion, this trek provides a spiritually uplifting experience along with Himalayan beauty. Thousands of pilgrims and trekkers undertake this journey every year, especially between May and October.

How to Reach Kedarnath

Travelers planning to visit Kedarnath must first reach **Gaurikund**, the last motorable point before the trek begins. From there, a 16 km trek leads to the Kedarnath Temple.

By Road:
Kedarnath is well connected by road till Gaurikund. Buses and shared taxis are available from Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Dehradun to Sonprayag. From Sonprayag, a local jeep service takes you to Gaurikund (5 km). Gaurikund is the trek starting point.

By Rail:
The nearest railway stations are **Haridwar (approx. 250 km)** and **Rishikesh (approx. 220 km)**. You can take a train from Delhi to either station and continue by road to Gaurikund via Sonprayag.

By Air:
The nearest airport is **Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun** (approx. 240 km from Gaurikund). From the airport, taxis and buses are available to reach Rishikesh/Haridwar, and further to Sonprayag and Gaurikund.

**Note:** Helicopter services to Kedarnath are available from Phata, Guptkashi, and Sirsi for those unable to trek.

What is the best time to visit Kedarnath?

Confirmation Policy

- After a successful booking for the Kedarnath Trek, a confirmation voucher will be sent to the registered email ID within 24 hours.

- In case the selected date or slot is unavailable, we will provide alternative schedule options as per your preference. A revised confirmation voucher will then be issued via email.

- If the alternative options are not suitable, you may choose to cancel the booking before confirmation, and a full refund will be processed.

Cancellation Policy

- Cancellations made **45 days or more** before the trek start date will incur a cancellation fee of **25%** of the total trek cost.

- Cancellations made **15 to 30 days** before the trek start date will be charged **50%** of the total trek cost.

- Cancellations made **within 0 to 15 days** of the trek start date will be charged **100%** of the trek cost (no refund).

- In case of **natural disasters, bad weather, or government restrictions**, the trek may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled. In such situations, we will try to provide an alternate option, but **cash refunds will not be possible**.

Refund Policy

- In case of cancellation and if eligible for a refund as per our cancellation policy, the refund amount will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of booking.

- The refund process may take approximately **10 to 12 working days** to reflect in your account, depending on the bank/payment gateway.

- No cash refunds will be provided. All refunds will be processed digitally.
